This has got to be one of life's little annoyances. How much is an "H" stamp worth and how much is the "H" Rate make-up stamp worth? Who can remember? For an interesting read, checkout Paul Rubin's note on the whole debaucle. He writes:
The current 1¢ stamp is green with a rooster and is labeled “The ‘H’ Rate make-up stamp.”That's good to know. Now, is it still worth a cent? You can learn more about the alphabetical stamp at an intriguing site called "Alphabetilately". I found the answer to my questions there:
A postcard, by the way, costs 23 cents to mail. Posted by torque at September 5, 2005 10:31 AM | TrackBack

Hi,
Thanks for posting this. I was cleaning, don't ask me why, and found some H stamps with the new rate increase I was wondering how to use them.
Posted by: Gary at January 3, 2006 9:53 AMI was wondering what this H Rate stamp was worth. Even the post office told me the wrong amount! I'm going to put them all on one letter and get rid of them!
Thanks for the info.
