Gary B. Wesley, Attorney at Law, appears a number of times opposing various propositions on the California Official Voter Information Guide. Who is this guy? He sure opposes a lot of things. Here he is, asking for a recall of Mountain View Councilmember Sally Lieber. Interestingly, he represented at least at one time Republican Stan Kawczynski. He was a former City Council candidate (Mountain View). In November 2003, he represented one Nick Bulaich in a potential flouride-related lawsuit between the city of Watsonville and the California State Department of Health Services. Later Bulaich sued both the state and the county. Here he is, compaining about improper use of school funds for bond campaigning.
Posted by torque at October 13, 2004 12:35 AM | TrackBackI am wondering who gary is and why he is afraid of a computer???????????????/
Posted by: Richard Noone at October 23, 2004 1:04 PMI was wondering the same thing. Why is there no information available on him anywhere? Why does he of all people get published so much in the voter information panphlets. What qualifies him to speak on anything? Just cause he is some quack attorney?
Posted by: Kimberly Reeve at October 24, 2004 6:42 PMLooks like he's just figured out how to get his arguments into the voter guide. It's hard for me to begrudge him just for that.
Posted by: Just Me at October 27, 2004 10:31 PMOk so What I want to know is; is it going to be only Gary and I at the polls that vote against Prop 59?
And yeah I came here just to find out who this gary guy is and I thank you for the information Tim. Though it would be great if I could find a website by the gary for the gary and of the gary but oh well.
Here's a website for some information on this guy. For a guy who can't pay his own bar dues, to give voters advice on California State fiscal planning is insulting and should be illegal!
You don't have to take my word on the him failing to pay his bar fees...see for yourself on the State Bar's Legal Website. http://members.calbar.ca.gov
His name is Gary Bruce Wesley

Gary is sincere and wants the "BEST FOR HIS COMMUNITY" and complains because he cares..DO YOU? Join him in his efforts...quit criticizing. Have you always paid your BAR fees? One never knows what is facing him during these times. He does not "cheat his clients, like many others do." A lot of people will vote for him as a MAYOR. HE IS AN HONEST MAN.
Posted by: Ellen Goodbread at November 2, 2004 5:03 PMThanks this is helpful because his name appears on a number of ballot pamphlets, usually opposing something, such as Prop. 59, the open records measure. This is funny I am glad I found this.
Posted by: Ortega at December 8, 2004 9:06 PMI would like to retract my entire comment about Gary Wesley that I published here on 11/2/2004. I was wrong about Gary. He is looking for fast and easy money. I will NOT recommend Gary B. Wesley. He caused me to lose my case by deliberate neglect and then walked away from my case as though he had nothing to do with my loss. I recommended him (wrongly) to a friend and he took the party’s money and neglected his duty to represent that person too. My friend lost that case too.
I support the 10/24/04 entry by Kimberley Reeve.

Posted by: Ellen Goodbread at July 1, 2005 1:27 PMLooking at his bar history:It looks like he was just late to pay his fees
a couple of times. He seems like a flake to me anyways.
I get messages on my machine for him by mistake since he is unlisted and
these confirm to me that he is an opportunistic
pest.
Good job!
