Going to the Gmail page this evening, I got the following security alert:
"The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site." Hmmm, that doesn't sound so good. What to do...
Have you figured this out? I'm getting the same all of a sudden...

Posted by: Mark at July 18, 2004 9:39 AMYou may be going to gmail.com. It redirects you to google.com/gmail or something. The redirection could be causing this. (google.com != gmail.com)
Hope that helps.

I am receiving ‘Error 12037.’
Answer return to Help Center
An ‘invalid certificate’ error usually means your operating system's calendar isn't correct. To fix this problem:
Double-click on the current time in your system tray.
Open the ‘Date & Time’ tab, and make sure that the current month and year are entered.
Click ‘OK.’

Posted by: free chat at December 4, 2006 3:51 AMYes, I had this certificate problem, but took the hint to check my time and calendar settings. For some reason the computer date was set to March of this year. That's interersting. I've not had any problems for months. This is XP Home. One thing, yesterday, I downloaded and installed Adope Flash. It seems that the problem started right after that. That's the only change I can think of. Any comments?
