I saw this funny little box on the Mill-Max webpage today. What is Google Site Stats? It shows up at the end of everything, after the </HTML>. Wrapped around is some javascript coming from http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion.js.
The box relates to the conversion tracking feature available to Google Adwords subscribers.
It should be visible only to a person who's been referred to site via a Google ad. And it appears only on "post-conversion" pages--on pages which, when reached by a customer, indicate for the AdWords subscriber that a "conversion" (a sale, a successful referal, etc.) has been successfully completed.
It's most commonly found on a receipt page of e-commerce sites, for obvious reasons.

FWIW, I came across this entry on a google search for "google sitestats". Vive la recursion!
