Chloroplast Movement

I've always wondered about this. Here are the little guys going around in circles. Why? Anyone know?

chloroplasts move for two reasons: they are either trying to move in order to place themselves in the path of sunlight to absorb energy for photosynthesis, or they are avoiding light so they don't absorb an excess amount.
